CIA analyst Brynn Taylor developed a new program to combat terrorism, and she invited members of foreign intelligence agencies to America to foster cooperation between countries. Now one of them, Egyptian spy Remon Riad, is missing.

Jack Hudson has been working for the Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency (SNAP) for almost nine years and takes the lead in hunting down the missing spy. But he isn't at all pleased to find out Brynn is involved. It's hard to trust a woman who's already betrayed you.

Every lead they follow draws them dangerously deeper into an international plot. Kidnapping, murder, explosions, poisoning--the terrorists will do anything to accomplish their goal of causing a digital blackout that will blind a strategic US military communications center and throw the world into chaos.

Can Brynn surrender control to a man who doesn't trust her? And can Jack ever get over what she did to him? The fate of the world--and their hearts--hangs in the balance
.

My Thoughts

Oh wow!! This book was so good! This was non-stop suspense. I mean from the very first page your attention is captured and just doesn't let up. Definitely one of those book that will keep you awake because you want to finish to see what happens. The characters were perfect!!

Brynn is a CIA analyst who right away you can tell is a workaholic and she has a reason behind it. Jack works for the SNAP agency and has to work with Brynn on a case. They both have a past together and the tension at the beginning of the story was perfect. The rest of the SNAP agency characters were spectacular and Kekoa the computer analyst was awesome and I can't wait to read his story in the second book. Although there is romance in the story that's definitely not the focus. The book is full of danger, faith, suspense and keeps you turning the pages.

I really like how the author ties in the element of faith throughout the story and it's not in your face but its definitely there. This line from Jack I think says it all, " When our trust lies in the control we think we have, we are saying we don't trust in the One who is completely in control and completely good." I also enjoyed that she incorporated one of my favorite movies the Princess Bride!

If you enjoy suspense and mystery or shows like FBI or SEALS then you will definitely enjoy this story! I for one cannot wait until the next book!

My Rating: 5 Stars/Absolutely LOVED it!!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher Revell. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
