One man’s last Christmas wish might change two lives forever.

Mallory Barrows has one last Christmas with her uncle. She’s determined to make it the best one he’s ever had.

She knows when she asks what he wants as his final gift, it won’t be a tie or a new mug. He won’t need those where he’s going, and he’s quite happy about that.

Mallory just didn’t think he wanted a miracle wrapped in paper and tied with a shiny red bow!

In a twist on a “last chance romance,” Christmas on Breakers Point introduces a new series featuring five islands, six authors, and a boatload of happily-ever-afters.

Christmas on Breakers Point is the introductory book to the Independence Islands Series.

The Independence Island Series: Beach listens aren’t just for summer anymore.

My Thoughts

I have read a few of the books in the Independence Island series but I have always wondered about the character of Mallory and her beginnings. This is her story and it was not what I expected. While it is a lovely story it definitely not the lighthearted read I was expecting but rather an emotional one. It definitely made me tear up a few times. Chautona has a way at bringing all the emotions but bringing in that faith element that always leaves you in deep thought which I appreciate.

I should mention that this was an audiobook "read". Although I enjoyed the benefits of being able to listen to it while I washed dishes or drove I can't say I am a fan of audiobooks. There is just something special about holding a book in your hands.  That being said the narrator was spectacular she truly brings the island to life.

My Rating: 3 Stars ~ Liked it

I received a copy of this book through Celebrate Lit. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
