First Line Fridays ~ The Memory House

May 22, 2020

Happy Friday Friends! It's another First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books. I just finished another amazing book by Rachel Hauck. I absolutely love time-slip novels and hers are just perfection to me.

My First Line:

She was never afraid of the dark.

You're turn! What is your first line? Grab the book closest to
you and post the first line in the comments.

  1. Happy Friday! My first line is from “Grand Encounters” by Jen Turano:

“I know you mentioned you’ve sworn off gentlemen forever, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and – need I say – Delicious is here again, and, unsurprisingly, he’s sitting in your section.”

  2. Happy Saturday!

I adore Rachel Hauck's writing style, and I've yet to read this one. I'm also a huge fan of timeslip novels, so I'll definitely have to get to this one soon.

My first line this week comes from Denise Hunter's recent release, Carolina Breeze:

"Before she even opened her eyes Mia Emerson knew it was going to be the worst day of her life."

I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend :)

  4. Today, I'm sharing the first line from Formula for a Perfect Life by Christy Hayes: "Kayla Cummings stared at the two lines so long her vision blurred." Have a good rest of the weekend!
