But will Maggie stand up for what she believes even after witnessing such courage? Or will she lie in order to fit in again?

ABOUT THE VIRTUE ADVENTURE SERIES:

Meet Maggie Murphy, a ten-year-old girl who lives in Mars, Pennsylvania with the most annoying younger brother. Like any kid, Maggie struggles with doing the right and helping others. However, that is all about to change when Maggie is suddenly commissioned by her quick-witted Guardian Angel, Mikey, to join him on a mission from God.

Travel back in time to places such as Ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt as Maggie and Mikey save the fate of the world. Virtue Adventures gives a glimpse into history while also teaching readers about the importance of various classical virtues such as Justice, Courage, Hope and Temperance.

Packaged in a way that kids will understand and enjoy, B.B. Gallagher has created a platform where kids can start discussion with parents about the various virtues focused on in each installment. Just like Maggie, your reader will grow each day closer to God through reading and discussing Virtue Adventures.

My Thoughts

I know you have heard me say this multiple times if you have hung around the blog for a while... but it I will say this everytime... It makes this homeschool mama ecstatic when I find books that absolutely are wholesome and go along the Christian beliefs we have in our household. Although this is the second book in the Virtue Adventure series, this is the first book we have ever read from it and we loved it. I did this book as part of our morning read aloud and the kids were fully engaged and we could of read the whole book in one sitting but I chose to do one chapter a day which really had them intrigued in the story and wanting to know what happened next.

We meet our main character Maggie and she is your typical kiddo with their struggles of being a kid and in this one she lies to avoid being bullied about her faith. Right away this makes it so relatable to the kids especially my older kiddos. I also like that the book takes you on a historical adventure that teaches about the virtue that was broken in present time. Not only are the kids learning about the "why" we shouldn't break this virtue but the author now is backing it with actual history.

I can continue raving about this book but if you have kiddos and are looking for a great wholesome and meaningful books I highly recommend this. My older kiddos (age 9 and 12) say they feel like the book is  is a cross between Superbook and The Magic Tree House. We are looking forward to getting book one and praying that the author makes more.

My Rating: 5 Stars/We really enjoyed them!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
