July 17, 2020

Happy Friday Reader Friends!!

I hope everyone has enjoyed their Friday and is ready to begin the weekend!! It's another First Line Friday hosted by Hoarding Books today's first line is coming from A Bride's Journey to Colorado by Diana Lesire Brandmeyer. I just started it so be on the lookout for the review soon!

My First Line:

"I said you need to stay away from him, Sister."

Now it's your turn! Grab the book closest to you and drop the first line in the comments!

  1. Happy Friday!

What a hilarious first line, I love it!

On my blog this week, I'm sharing the first line from Dancing With Fireflies by Denise Hunter:

"Jade McKinley lowered the stove to medium and returned the chicken breasts to the pan."

I hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

    1. I know right... the brother and sister in this story are something else! LOL!

I have to add that Denise Hunter book to my list!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely weekend!

  2. Happy Friday! My first line is from “A Heart Renewed” by author Kimberly Rae Jordan:

“Carter Ward stared at the woman in front of him, a sick feeling in his stomach.”

    1. I LOVE Kimberly Rae Jordan!!! I have not finished this new series yet though!

      Thanks for stopping by!!

  3. I will use the first lines of Chapter 1.
Set The Stars Alight by Amanda Dykes
    Candlewick Commons London, England. 2000
To step inside the watchmaker’s cottage was to step outside of time.

    1. I really want to read that book!! Enjoy!! Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I love history but can not fathom wearing the dresses, no matter how beautiful. Especially out West. Blech.

  5. My current read is Practically Married by Karin Beery. I'm just starting the second chapter, so I will share the first line of that chapter. "The sharp edge of reality sliced through Russ' heart." May you have a blessed week.
